Instalar Snow leopard en p5k-e Problemas

Hola muy buenas a todos soy nuevo por estos lares, de manera registrada me refiero,jeje, espero ser recibido de buena gana.

Bueno la cosa esque estoy intetnado instalar en snow leopard en mi pc cuya placa es la asus p5k-e como ya he indicado la cosa es que buscando he encontrado persona que tienen mi misma placa y misma grafica 8800 gts, lo hecho siguiendo este metodo:

Intel Core2Duo E8400 with a P5k-e Wifi/AP motherboard
XFX Nvidia 8800 GTS 320mb
sata dvd drive
sata HDD.
To install snow leopard you need the dvd 10a432

you also need bootthink 2.3.18

Install this on your own risk. It does not mean if it works on the mine system, that also will works on your system.

All you need

1 USB stick

1 DVD-Image

1 media (usb stick, external HD,….)

What is include in that Snow leopard.zip?

All the essential Kext files
Audio: fix 1988b-audio
Boot.com.plist: add GFX-String
DSDT: Fix sleep
Lan: Fix marvell Lan
Step by step

Disk preperation

You need a usb stick to install bootthink

You need a media (external hd, usb stick) with 8 GB to copy the OSX image. Using disk utility you can copy that dvd into that media

The harddisk size at least 10GB

Install Boothink into USB stick

Download bootthink from the download link

I have formatted the disk in “Mac OS Extended)”

install bootthink (Choose USB stick on installation) that you got on the downloaded link. (windows version not try it but normally the same steps)

copy all the files from “bootthink snow leopard” “bootthink snow leopard V2″ into the usb stick

Start install

boot from usb stick.

Select the media where OSX-image is on it.

Just follow the instruction to install snow leopard. and install it on your Harddisk

after install

boot from usb stick and choose the OSX partition (normally the first partition)

after the boot just install bootthink again. but this time you select your snow leopard partition.

after installed you copy again the files from “bootthink snow leopard.zip” into your snow leopard partition.

Update 10.6.1

Just start software-update and do the update. After the update just restart and the update is done.

- sounds works

- Lan works

- Graphic card works (NVidia 8800 GTS 320MB)

- you can update to 10.6.1 without patch the kext

- sleep fix (update V2)

- Time machine

- Microphone


y lo he hecho tal cual restaurado la imagen en un disco duro externo, con particion guid y os extended, y la imagen se crea bien y se monta como disco, he formateado un usb y le he metido el bootthink 2.3.18, y sustituido los archivos kexts con mi placa y demas, reinicio el pc, lo arranco desde el usb, me sale mi particion anterior, y la imagen del snow leopard, le doy al intro, y empieza a cargar un monton de cosas hasta que sale un mensaje en varios idiomas y me dice que apague el pc con el boton y lo vuelva a iniciar, y queda todo igual, no me sale para instalar el dvd ni nada en el pc, alguien me puede decir que hago mal, o que puedo hacer, por cierto la imagen es una retail 10a432 version, espero que puedan ayudarme, saludos y muchas gracias.

Con este método yo logre que me funcionara Snow en una P5K-E WIFI/AP, no obstante la puesta a punto ideal de la placa y el sistema la logre editando mi DSDT según las recomendaciones de la pagina. El sistema es estable excepto cuando los discos duros se duermen y no consigo despertarlos del todo bien. Me queda mucho aun por estudiar.

Ah, se me olvidaba, tambien se actualiza automaticamente y si paginas de kernel panic.

Mi consejo es que leas mucho, tengas paciencia y algo de olfato no solo para entender lo que te dicen sino que es lo que produce lo que te están contando.
