Mac OS X no detecta SATA / SATA II

ASUS & SATA=Te quedas sin usar OSX86

Tras una docena de intentos de instalacion, tras poner las particiones de todas las formas que se me ocurre y tras tirarme dos tardes enteras mano a mano con el tio google he leido que hay problemas con el reconocimiento de los discos SATA cuando la placa es una ASUS (desconozco si solo pasa cuando el chipset es VIA K8T800).

Entonces las pregunta que lanzo a vuelo....

Hay alguien en este foro con placa ASUS y discos SATA que haya podido instalar el OSX86? o que por lo menos le haya detectado las particiones?

Sabeis si hay alguna solucion a esto? parche, version del DVD con los apaños hechos.. algo?

Y por otro lado he leido en otro post de este foro como en la bios puedes configurar para que un disco SATA2 se comporte como un IDE, sabeis si esto tambien es posible con SATA1? porque h enredado por la bios y en principio no he encontrado nada.

Yo de via tengo esta placa
Entrar or Registrarse para completar la lectura

Y no me ha dado problema, eso si, que instale desde wmware en hdd real.
Y una vez dentro, le puse el driver de via. Y ya si reinicie para botear en nativo.

El problema creo que era mas con ASUS que con VIA.
De todas formas, aun instalandolo con el vmware, en el menu de isntalacion del OSX86 tendras que seguir eligiendo particion no? eso dara igual no? y caro, si no me lo reconoce estamos en las mismas...

Comento mis "avances":

He seguido la guia para instalarlo mediante el vmware y todo perfecto. Con este programa si que me ha reconocido las particiones y toda la instalacion correcta sin problemas. El problema ha sido despues.
Yo cuando le doy al F8 y me sale la lista de arranque, me salen la disketera, las 3 unidades opticas que tengo y los dos discos duros que tengo pero en el HD donde tengo particiones no me salen, simplemente sale el disco duro como tal entonces claro no puedo inicar el OSX porque la particion activa en ese HD es la del XP (porcierto, porque me pasa eso con el F8? no deberian de salir todas las particiones como discos duros independientes?) asi que desde windows he puesto la particion activa la del OSX para poder arrancarlo. Tras reiniciar, me ha salido el Darwin y la pantalla de fondo blanco con la manzanita y tras cosa de un minuto, sobre la manzacinta el simbolo de "prohibido el paso" y tras un par de min asi he asumido que estaba bloqueado.

Sugerencias? estaremos en las mismas de antes que nativamente no me pilla los HD y por eso se cuelga?

Pd: Alguna solucion para lo del F8? porque claro cada vez que pongo que la del XP no sea la nativa luego tengo que recuperar la imagen ghost poniendola en el disco entero porque si no me resulta imposible volver a arrancar el XP.

Pd2: He probado tambien a usar el chain0 (copiarlo a "c" a pelo y escribir la ruta como ultima linea del boot.ini) y cuando me sale el menu de arranque si selecciono el OSX no me hace nada, me vuelve a salir otra vez el menu, no se si sera porque faltaba el primer reinicio tras la instalacion del OSX.

Si te he entendido, después de intentar arrancar OSX necesitas recuperar el arranque de XP y recuperas XP desde una imagen Ghost, ¿es así? Entonces es más sencillo tener a mano un disquete de arranque de Windows 98, arrancar el PC desde él y, al terminar el arranque, escribir
fdisk /mbr
pulsas INTRO y reinicias.

Gracias, para la proxima prueba lo tendre en cuenta. De todas formas, que significa el bibujo de prohibido el paso? es por algo concreto o en generañ que la cosa no funciona?

Puede deberse a varias causas pero siempre equivale a una dificultad completa de continuar con el proceso (una pantalla azul de Windows más bonita).

Segun tu disco duro y controladora, mac osx lo vera segun marques esta ruta

/System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext
Dentro de esta extension estan todos los plugins
En mi caso, Intel, mi plugin es:

Con todos los strings soportados y sus canales, asi que.....si el tuyo no esta alli, no correra tu disco como Dios manda
Asi que ya tardas para ir a windows, al administrador de dispoistivos, ver tu canal, y ver tu id.
Despues te regresas y metes el string en el canal correspondiente y se acabo.

Digo esto, por que esta tarde me prestaron un sata ( maquina entera) , para hacer unos test con final cut, y el muy joio corria menos que el caballo del malo en la maquina prestada.

Mi pregunta es si el OSx86 (en mi caso 10.4.6 Goatsecx o 10.4.8 Jas) son compatibles 100% con discos SATA 2.
La configuracion de mi PC figura en mi firma.
Necesito saber esto para decidir que disco comprar.

Los discos SATA2 llevan un jumper para que funcionen en modo sata1(1,5Gb/s) o sata2 para hacerlos compatibles con las placas que no soportan sata2.
Los discos sata1 ya estan desapareciendo o han desaparecido por eso.

Lo que quieres decir es que si lo hago SATA 1 por medio del Jumper podria correr OSx86 con un SATA 2 ???

tengo un problema cuando intento instalar mac os x86 en el disco sata, no me lo reconoce el disco no sale, y cuando lo instalo en VMware se me guinda siempre

tengo un amd 64 core venice
tarjeta madre chip nForce 4

es un problema documetado ya. puedes hacer dos cosas
ir al demonio y buscar un parche para reparchear esa iso y que soporte sata.
Es una simple revisison de un driver

O instalar desde wmware pero en el disco duro real. entar en osx desde wmware una vez instalado y aplicar parches, tanto del Nforce 4 como el sata
Y ahora ya reinicias en nativo y andando.

Hola muy agradecido por esta comunidad en espanol vemos si me pueden hechar una mano..

Tengo Mac OS X 10.4.5 Un poco viejo pero como lo puedo hacer para que reconosca mi disco duro Sata2 hitashi de 80GB?

De antemano muchas gracias.

osx tiger no detecta sata

Pa quien no lo sepa,instale la version "1048 amd final" y pa mi sorpresa vino con kernel nuevo (bueno no lo comprobe pero lo supongo) y aceleracion 3d de titan el itunes y todo funciona de maravilla pero sigo sin soporte para sata he estado mirando en muchas webs como abordaban el tema y me encuentro unos 5 o 6 drivers distintos y ya cansado de cascar el mac y volverlo a reinstalar os pido consejo pa saber que opcion es la mas segura y mas facililla, sin mas muxas gracias y feliz año.

no se por que mi firma no se guarda en fin, a8n sli deluxe 3500hz 512 mb ram y creo nvidia 6600 gt - mac 10.4.8 con nuevo kernel y 3d activado
nota:mi placa es una asus 8 sli deluxe
