que Wifi me compro ?

Hola ,

Despues de haber conseguido instalar SL 10.6.0 en mi mother G31M-ES2L (con adaptador de red no compatible) busco una tarjeta wifi compatible para luego actualizar a 10.6.3

teneis algun modelo aconsejable bonito y barato ....

que significa airport ....hay algun modelo que se instalaria facilmente sin driver o kext ?

j'ai trouvé un lien (le seul et en anglais) qui explique comment l'installer sous mac

cé manip fonctionnera pour mon SL 10.6 ???

Installing the Thomson TG123g Wireless Adapter - OS X


1. Click here to download the installation to your desktop.

2. When the download finishes, double click on its icon and a new folder will be created called Realtek_RTL8187B_MacOS10.4_Driver_1117_UI_1.5.1A.

3. Open this folder and double click on Install.mpkg icon to start installing the software..

4. After a few seconds you'll see this welcome screen, click Continue.



5. Next you'll see a summary of the instructions to install your adapter. As you're following this guide you can ignore this, click Continue.



6. Choose your language, click Continue, and then Agree.



7. Next, choose the hard drive (destination volume) to install the software to. We recommend leaving this as your system drive - Macintosh HD. Click Continue.



8. On the next screen, click Install and you'll be asked to enter your computer account password. Do this and click OK.

Connecting the Adapter

1. When your computer has restarted connect the Wireless Adapter into one of the USB ports on your computer.

2. The wireless adapter software should appear in your Quick Launch bar:


3. Before you can connect to your wireless network, you'll need to turn the adapter on, so go to Apple Menu and choose System Preferences.




4. Choose Network from the System Preferences Window.



5. Choose your Wireless Adapter from the Location Menu, this should be listed as Ethernet Adaptor (en1 or 2).

If you're using Mac OS X 10.5 select Ethernet Adaptor (en1 or 2) from the menu on the left and click Advanced.





6. Choose Using DHCP from the Configure IPv4 menu, press Apply Now and close the Network window.



Connecting to your wireless network

Now you can connect your computer to your wireless network.

1. Open the wireless adapter software from your quick launch bar, and select Available Network. Your computer will scan the area and show you all the networks it detects. If you don't see anything, click Refresh. The name of each network is shown in the SSID column. Click on your network so it's highlighted and press Connect. On the Thomson 585v7 router, the SSID you'll need is printed on the bottom of the router.



2. If you're connecting to your Thomson 585v7 for the first time, change Network Authentication to WPA_PSK, enter the WPA PSK key (printed on the bottom of the router) in each Network key box and press OK.



3. Your computer will connect to your wireless network.

veo el logo realtek en dock ...ok

pero en preferencia sistema/ network ...no veo Ethernet Adaptor (en1 or 2)

Yo hace tiempo compre una tarjeta wifi usb de la marca Intellinet debe estar ya descatalogada no aparece en la web. Pero eso no es lo importante lo importante es el chip que tiene es el RT73 de Ralink.
Este es compatible con Windows, Linux (incluido en el kernel) y tambien con Leopard y SL.
En la pagina web de Ralinktech tienes el software y los drivers para poder funcionar en Mac.
Tambien soporta injeccion, modo monitor y todo eso.

Te aconsejo cualquier tarjeta usb con ese chip (RT73).

estoy aun buscando como instalar la RTL8187B ....aver si consiguo que aparezca en preferencia sistema/red.......

En la pagina oficial de Realtek tienes los drivers del RTL8781b.
Pero son para Leopard 10.4 y 10.5.
No se si valen para SnowLeopard 10.6 .
De todas formas estate pendiente del fabricante (Realtek), pues imagino que sacara los drivers para SL.

por lo que he leido hay que modificar el archivo que esta en EXTRA / com.apple.Boot.plist

Si en un foro vi que funciona en SnowLeopard de 32 bits ya que son para Leopard que no tiene soporte para 64 bits.
Para probarlos puedes forzar al sistema para entrar en 32 bits poniendo en el inicio.

Para automatizarlo localiza el archivo "com.apple.Boot.plist" yo lo tengo en /MiDisco/Extra.

ya estoy en 32bits ! pero aún no veo la usb wifi en preferencia sistema/red....solo aparece VPN ,PPPoE y 6a4....nada de wifi

Drives para 8187 en SL y Tarjeta Wifi

No se si habras solucionado el tema del Wifi en tu equipo . . .

Como podras ver en mi firma utilizo una placa P5W DH dl, esta equipada con un Wifi integrado Realtek 8187, en leopard 10.5.X no tenia problemas con los drivers, pero al pasar a SL dejaron de funcionarme y me quede sin Wifi Integrado.

Al principio le coloque al equipo una tarjeta PCI que tenia dando vueltas por casa y que tenia referencias de que funcionaria bien segun habia visto por algun foro:

10.5.1 Hardware Compatibility Lists: Components -->Network Cards --> Wireless

PCI-Card 802.11a/b/g/n D-Link A-547 v1.10(E) Working OOB, detected as AirPort

Me costo + o - 20 a 25€

Instale en Nativo y me la reconocio perfectamente y va muy bien.

Despues encontre un driver para USB Realtek 8187

lo instale y . . . el USB integrado de la P5W DH dl, cobro vida nuevamente, ahora como dispongo de discos extraibles, tengo instalaciones con Airport (tarjeta PCI) o Realtek (USB integrado en placa), de todas formas me planteo desinstalar la PCI y dejarla nuevamente en la reserva ya que el USB integrado funciona bien.

Puedes probar cualquiera de los dos caminos y espero que vaya bien

se instala , reinicio , conecto mi usb ...y me sale el messaje como que no hay kext en la carpeta y que tengo que instalar los ultomos del fabricante....
